The Golden Game
The Golden Game is an adult card game under development that is inspired by The Golden Girls television show. We’re seeking your input and influence as we move forward. The purpose of The Golden Game is for players to ask each other questions from the cards that facilitate conversation, good times, and deeper connections. Like how The Golden Girls would sit around the kitchen table and share memories and tribulations, players would recreate this dynamic by sharing their own thought provoking and entertaining personal stories.
How to play The Golden Game (3 or more players):
· The first player (whoever is the biggest Golden Girls fan) reads the trivia question that’s designed to stump the most knowledgeable Golden Girl fan.
The player who answers the trivia question correctly receives the card. If more than one player answers the trivia question correctly, or if no one answers the trivia question correctly, rolling a dice will determine the true winner of the trivia question.
The trivia winner becomes the “judge” and reads the following “share” question to the other players.
Every player (besides the trivia winner/judge) must then answer the share question. The goal is to have the trivia winner/judge select your answer as “the best.”
The player’s story that best satisfies the judge is rewarded by winning the round and receives the card (labeled Dorothy, Sophia, Rose, or Blanche).
The first player with one of each card (Dorothy, Sophia, Rose, and Blanche) wins the game.
The point of the game is not to become a Golden Girls trivia expert, rather the objective is to connect with the other players by sharing personal stories and insights.
